Hiroyuki Okiura's highly anticipated second directorial effort, A Letter to Momo won the Feature Film Grand Prize from the Kinder Jury (composed of ten children), and the Special Prize from the International Juryat the 20th Tokyo Kinder Film Festival (TKFF 2012), held in Tokyo, Japan, from August 15 to 9, 2012. The Kinder Jury was composed of ten children between 9 to 12 years old.

Founded in 1992, TKFF is Japan's only international film festival for children and provides a place where children and their parents can learn the importance of being moral and compassionate. The festival supports parenting and promotes the wellbeing of children by conveying messages in the form of wonderful films from all over the world.
