Hiroyuki Okiura's highly anticipated second directorial effort, A Letter to Momo has been invited in the International Competition of the 27th Warsaw International Film Festival (WIFF 2011), to be held in Warsaw, Poland from October 7th to 16th, 2011. A Letter to Momo is the first Japanese animated feature film ever to screen in the International Competition section of the festival, and the screening in Warsaw marks the movie's European premiere.

Started in 1985 and now with an attendance of over 100,000, the Warsaw International Film Festival is a FIAPF-recognized festival officially ranked as one of the twelve world biggest international contest film festivals, along with Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Locarno, San Sebastian, Mar del Plata, Karlovy Vary, Montreal, Cairo, Moscow, Tokyo and Shanghai.
