Hiroyuki Okiura's highly anticipated second directorial effort, A Letter to Momo is having its Australian premiere at the 60th Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF 2012), to be held in Melbourne, Australia, from August 2 to 19, 2012. A Letter to Momo is presented within the Next Gen section, a program of entertaining and challenging cinema aimed at a younger audience.

Established in 1952, the Melbourne International Film Festival is the most significant screen event in Australia and the longest running film festival of the Pacific rim. MIFF showcases the best in current cinema from around the world as well as retrospectives and tributes.
