Mizuho Nishikubo's Giovanni's Island has been selected in the feature film competition at the 8th Austin Asian American Film Festival (AAAFF 2015), to be held in Austin, Texas, USA, from November 11 to 15, 2015.

AAAF describes the film as follows:
"With an exquisite animation style and moving storyline, director Mizuho Nishikubo has crafted a rich, emotional experience that earns Giovanni's Island a place amongst the greatest war dramas, animated or otherwise."
