Mizuho Nishikubo's latest animated feature film, Giovanni's Island is screening as part of the official selection of the 38th Portland International Film Festival (PIFF 2015), to be held in Portland (OR), USA, from February 5 to 21, 2015.

PIFF 2015 describes the film as follows:
"Giovanni's Island is a beautifully animated story about the importance of familial bonds and persevering through the greatest of hardships."

Drawing an audience of 38,000, the Portland International Film Festival (PIFF) is the Northwest Film Center's annual showcase of new world cinema. more than 140 international shorts and feature films from three-dozen countries, the PIFF explores not only the art of film but also the world around us, no matter the place or the language spoken.
