Mizuho Nishikubo's new animated feature film, Giovanni's Island is part of the Official Selection at the 36th Moscow International Film Festival, to be held in Moscow, Russia from June 19 to 28, 2014. The screening in Moscow marks the film's Russian premiere.

The Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) is a FIAPF-recognized festival officially ranked as one of the twelve world biggest international contest film festivals, along with Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Locarno, San Sebastian, Mar del Plata, Karlovy Vary, Montreal, Cairo, Warsaw, Tokyo and Shanghai. It was first held in Moscow in 1935 and became regular since 1959. The festival has been held annually since 1995.
