Shinsuke Sato's CGI animated feature film Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror is one of the three films selected for the Feature Films Competition at the 7th World Animated Film Festival in Varna, to be held in Varna, Bulgaria, from September 8 to 12, 2011.

The 7th World Animated Film Festival in Varna is a successor of the festival bearing the same name that inaugurated in 1979. The festival established itself as one of the five world's most important animation festivals organized under the patronage of ASIFA, and successfully ran biannually until 1989, when dramatic political and economic changes interrupted its history. The seventh edition of this feast of the art of animation is a bridge connecting the glorious past and the promising future.
