Keiichi Hara's latest animated feature film, Sarusuberi: Miss Hokusai is screening in the official selection of the 15th New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF 2016), to be held in New York, USA, from June 22 to July 9, 2016. The screening at NYAFF marks the film's New York premiere.

NYAFF describes the film as follows:
"One of the finest recent examples of the animated art form, Miss Hokusai is an absolute treat to behold. [...] Filled with scenes that can only be described as visual poetry, the film is as mesmerizing as the art that inspired it."

Subway Cinema launched the New York Asian Film Festival in 2002. The festival selects only the best, strangest, and most entertaining movies to screen for New York audiences, ranging from mainstream blockbusters and art-house eccentricities to genre and cult classics. In 2015, the festival was awarded Best Film Festival in NYC by the Village Voice.
