Fast Food Grifters selected for the 35th Festival du Nouveau Cinema de Montreal

After its North American premiere in Vancouver and its second European screening at Sitges 06, Mamoru Oshii's Tachigui: The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters (original title: Tachiguishi Retsuden, 2006, 104') will be back to Canada for the 35th Festival du Nouveau Cinema de Montreal (FNC). Oshii's movie has been officially selected for Temps O (Time Zero), the festival's section that brings together the hottest names in genre cinema and animated films.

Started in 1971 as the first international film festival in Canada, the Festival du Nouveau Cinema de Montreal (FNC) is devoted to the dissemination and development of emerging trends in cinema and new media. It is a forum for audiences to discover original new works, particularly in cinema d'auteur and digital creation. The Festival's strength lies above all in the quality of its programming, which has evolved in step with trends in cinema and new media. Thanks to its constant evolution in response to changes in cinema and new media, the FNC has earned an international reputation for remaining on the leading edge of high-tech exhibition.
