Naota is a boy who lives in a suburban city surrounded by nondescript mountains, a river, sea and the sky. There is a town and a school. But the mysterious medical equipment manufacturing plant located off in the distance seems to trouble Naota. One day, he meets a strange woman on a Vespa. Her name is Haruko. From that point on, terrible incidents begin to happen around him. First, he notices strange symptoms of something in his head. At the same time, a robot appears from a most unexpected place. Is there any connection between the woman and the robot? Was this boy chosen by someone or something?
