Mizuho Nishikubo's Musashi: The Dream of the Last Samurai has been officially invited to the 25th Warsaw International Film Festival (25th WIFF), to be held in Warsaw, Poland from October 9th to 18th, 2009. Musashi will screen in competition within the Free Spirit section of the festival, that focuses on independent, innovative, rebellious films from all over the world.

Started in 1985, the Warsaw Film Festival, organized by the Warsaw Film Foundation and recognized by FIAPF, is one of the key events of the region and the biggest annual cultural event in Warsaw, Poland. It has been named by VARIETY one of Top 20 European film festivals, and reached 97,000 admissions in 2008. Its aim is to present the best films from all over the world to Polish and international audience, and to encourage better communication and understanding between people living in different countries and of different cultural backgrounds.
