Hiro Kaburagi's Netflix Original Anime Great Pretender has been nominated in the Best Direction - TV/Media category at the 48th Annual Annie Awards. Winners will be announced at the award ceremony to be held in virtual form on April 16, 2021 at 7:00pm (PST time).

The Annie Awards celebrate accomplishments in animation, and are considered the Academy Awards of the animation industry. The Annie Awards have been presented by the Los Angeles branch of the International Animated Film Association, ASIFA-Hollywood since 1972.
