The Ghost in the Shell: Ghost Chaser VR experience directed by Hiroaki Higashi has been selected for the VR Film Competition of the 19th Anifilm animation festival (Anifilm 2020) to be held in Liberec, Czech Republic, from October 6 to 11, 2020. The VR competition section has been newly added from this year, and includes 14 works. Ghost in the Shell: Ghost Chaser is the only title from Japan.

Anifilm officially started in 2011, replacing Anifest, established in 2002, and it is the major international animation film festival in the Czech Republic. The festival's mission is to present current trends, methods, technologies and animation techniques in its programme. Anifilm is aimed at authors and film professionals as well as students, educators, film theorists and all fans of animated production, including children.
