Shinya Sugai's directorial debut short film, Walking Meat is screening in competition at the Les Utopiales 2018 - 19th Nantes International Science-Fiction Festival (Les Utopiales 2018), to be held in Nantes, France, from October 31 to November 5, 2018. The screening at Les Utopiales marks the film's French premiere.

Started in 2000 in the city that gave birth to Jules Verne, Les Utopiales is one of the largest events in Europe dedicated to science fiction, encompassing literature, film, fine arts, comics, role-playing games, and animation.
