Yoshimi Itazu's directorial debut mid-lenght film Pigtails won the Silver Award for Best Original Score at the April 2016 session of the LA Shorts Awards. Winners were announced on June 23, 2016.

The LA Shorts Awards is a monthly awards competition ope to filmmakers from all over the world. Films are judged by industry professionals and awards are given only to the best independent filmmakers.
